Chairman's Blog

With Christmas now almost upon us, we will all be reflecting back on 2021 and hoping that next year takes us a firmer step towards a safe 'new normality'. As a community we have responded brilliantly this year in keeping our spirits up including organising events and get togethers, whilst taking measures to keep ourselves safe and maintaining a watchful eye on those who may need our support.

This year the Council has spent time in talking to many of our High St traders about what has been a challenging year commercially. As a result we are taking steps to launch a Beaulieu business website together with social media to attract more visitors to the amazing things we offer here in Beaulieu. More to follow on this.

Together with the rest of the country, next year will see Beaulieu celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the first time that a British Monarch has achieved 70 years of service. We are holding a community meeting in the Beaulieu Village Hall on Saturday 8th January at 2.30pm for us all to discuss ideas and agree how we should plan for this. Do please come along and get involved in what is sure to be a memorable celebration of this inspirational achievement. So we can plan safe seating please let me know if you will be attending.

Finally, on behalf of all your Parish Councillors, I wish you all a Joyous Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
