NFALC Annual Report

Annual Report 2014
August 20, 2014

The 2014 NFALC annual report from Chairman Cllr Goff Beck is now available to view online via the link below. The annual report summarises a number of projects that NFALC has been involved in.

Without an Association, neither the District nor the National Park Authority or County for that matter would have had a vehicle through which they could communicate with and work in partnership with Town and Parish Councils. We believe that all 3 Authorities are now able to utilise the Association to help them.

Keep a look out ... Update

It is understood that the travellers have now left the Common at Sandleheath and moved just outside the county boundary, but their destination is unknown. Could Parishioners continue to be vigilant and inform the police if they see any traveller's vehicles parking illegally in the Beaulieu area.

Horse Grazing .. Electric & Tape Fencing

We would ask all those of you who keep horses to check your electric fencing or your tape fencing regularly as our head keeper has been called out several times recently to deal with deer whose antlers got caught up in the fencing and have been unable to extricate themselves.

If you do find deer caught in this way, please call the Beaulieu Estate Office – 01590 614621 (weekends/out of hours 07956 409974)  as on a couple of occasions, where the fencing has not been checked regularly, the deer has been found too late and suffered a slow death! Please be vigilant, and if the fence is not in use, please take it down.

Crime Report

In the month of July / August we have had 3 theft reports, one of boat motors from Leygreen Farm, Lyndhurst Rd, two large vases from a grave in Lodge Lane and and horse tack from Long Lane. TOne assault was reported in Beaulieu High St where the offender was arrested and is awaiting a Court appearance.
There have also been 13 traffic accidents reported, two of which resulted in serious injury.
Not much else to report but will probably be a busy weekend next week with the Beaulieu Autojumble.
