TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

B3054 HIGH STREET

BEAULIEU

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow for Openreach ducting works to be carried out, as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

That length of B3054 High Street Beaulieu between its junction with B3054 Palace Lane and its junction with B3056 Hatchet Lane.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

From the northern point of closure, west via Palace Lane to its junction with Hatchet Lane; south via Hatchet Lane to its junction with Beaulieu High Street; northeast via High Street to the southern point of closure and vice versa.

The Hampshire (Beaulieu) (One Way Traffic) Order 1973 will be suspended for the duration of the closures.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 14th January 2019 for a period of three months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 weeks, between 2000hrs and 0600hrs each night.)

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.

Resurfacing road closure

Works will now begin on Monday 18th February and complete on the 20th February. During this time between 9.30 and 16.00hrs the road will necessarily be closed to traffic from Palace Lane to Hatchet Lane.

You will appreciate that the workmen require a safe environment in which to operate the plant and machinery and although traffic supervisors will be available to manage access and pedestrians and will endeavour to assist residents and businesses,  access, at anytime, cannot be guaranteed.
