Since June 2017 Beaulieu Parish Council has installed at the junction of the B3054 and the High Street a closed circuit television system.
This equipment records vehicle movements (ANPR) and pedestrian activity around that area. Signs notifying the presence of surveillance cameras are in place with further signs being added.
The policy of the Parish Council is to is to share images with the Criminal justice System. Stored images will only be kept for a minimum amount of time.
In the event of an incident which the surveillance equipment may have recorded please telephone 101 and report the matter to the police.
The administrator of the system on behalf of the Parish Council is Cllr Fairweather. Should you wish to contact the Parish Council please email the clerk through the website.
Beaulieu Parish Council has adopted the Code of Practice as suggested by the Surveillance Camera Commissioner.
Already the system has proved useful to the Police and the keeping of our community in Beaulieu safe is a Parish Council priority.
