THE SHOP OF THINGS TO COME

All change at the Village Shop

As we say farewell to Mel Bond at the Beaulieu Village Shop, after more than six years, we welcome the new proprietors Anne Marcer and her daughter Nicole.

Mel’s shocking horse-riding accident last year, from which he’s told he can’t expect to recover fully for another two years, contributed to his decision, and we thank him for his assiduous dedication to the shop over recent years and wish him well in the future. Mel and Glenda are not moving from the area.

Anne, who has worked in the shop for ten years, predating Mel’s tenure, knows the shop well and has plans. To all the previous lines and services the shop offered in the past, she’s planning to add more. To begin with, and after redecoration, refurbishment and layout changes, small gift jars of sweets personalised to the gift recipient will be available. Additionally, local UPS deliveries will be held at the shop for collection if the addressee is out and there’s no answer at their door.

Anne and Nicole have other ideas too, to help make the Beaulieu Village Shop a yet greater local amenity, and we wish them every success for a flourishing business.
